RagingWire Successfully Completes SAS 70 Type II Audit

RagingWire Enterprise Solutions, Inc. (RES), a provider of premier colocation and managed hosting services, announced that it has successfully completed the SAS 70 Type II audit with no exceptions. RagingWire has successfully passed the audit for five consecutive years.

Widely accepted as the industry standard for IT service providers, the SAS 70 Type II audit independently assesses and reports how well a service provider effectively manages internal controls to meet the requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley legislation. This includes Control Environment, Physical Security, Environmental Protection, Computer Operations, Information Security, and Data Communications. RES initiated the SAS 70 Type II audit to confirm for its clients that quality control and operational practices and hosting services meet the very latest federal requirements.

"Stakeholders may place more reliance on the controls at a service organization who has undergone a SAS 70 audit than a company that has not."

There are two types of SAS 70 audits. A Type II audit is more exhaustive and includes the organization's description of controls, as well as detailed testing of its controls over a minimum time period of six months. RES received this second, more complex certification again with no exceptions throughout.
